In an effort to combat the ongoing childhood obesity crisis, the Kansas Health Foundation has teamed with partners like the Alliance for a Healthier Generation to examine how to keep kids active after the school day ends.

At one after school program site in Lawrence, students have healthy snacks, basketball practice and other activities to keep them fit and moving.
