With help from a 2018 Kansas Health Foundation Impact and Capacity Grant, the community hospital in Sabetha, Kan., now has the ability to serve its patients through telemedicine.

“We’ve been able to implement a system that there’s one to two, maybe even three people on the other end that can help us guide our care and tell us, you know, ‘You should be doing this next,’ or ‘Let’s think about this’,” said Jenna McClain, director of nursing at Sabetha Community Hospital.

It’s a development that’s already paying dividends for this northeast Kansas community.

“Using the telemedicine system has been very beneficial to Sabetha Community Hospital,” CEO Lora Key said.
