GRANTEE SUPPORT

In our effort to provide maximum support to our grantees as they work to respond to the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis, we are offering a range administrative relief and increased flexibility that we hope will be meaningful for them during this challenging time. KHF is taking the following steps, effective immediately:

  • extending all grant terms by six months
  • waiving interim grant reports due in 2020
  • extending final grant reports due in 2020 by six months
  • accelerating 2020 grant payments; and
  • authorizing most of our project-related grantees to shift the use of their KHF grant funds from project work to other organizational-viability needs (all grantees will be contacted by program officers).

IMPACT AND CAPACITY GRANTS

In addition, our KHF 2020 Impact and Capacity Grants (ICG), totaling $2 million, have been repurposed to focus on supporting COVID-19 response efforts in Kansas. Grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to eligible nonprofits. We are working to create a simple application, with the broader criteria and an expedited process; we will make applications for this funding available to you very soon. Please watch the KHF website, social media and other announcements for this ICG information.

We encourage you to contact your program officer if you have any questions about your grant.

About the Kansas Health Foundation

The Kansas Health Foundation (KHF) is a nonprofit organization based in Wichita but statewide in its focus. At KHF, all our work centers on our mission: to improve the health of all Kansans. As part of our strategic framework, developed by our staff and board of directors, KHF also strives to accomplish three primary purposes: empower Kansas to lead the nation in health; eliminate the inequities that create health disparities; and, for KHF to become THE model for philanthropic impact.
