Thoughts on Equity

Our Ongoing Commitment to the CREJ Recommendations

March 25, 2022

Thoughts on Equity is a blog series presented by the Kansas Health Foundation to feature written, video and audio content from multiple KHF contributors. Through this blog, KHF will discuss issues of equity, systemic racism, health disparities and how Kansans have the opportunity to shape a more equitable and inclusive future.

Our Ongoing Commitment to the CREJ Recommendations

In her latest Thoughts on Equity blog, Kansas Health Foundation President and CEO Teresa Miller discusses her experiences working on the Governor’s Commission on Racial Equity and Justice (CREJ), which was tasked with developing recommendations for the governor, legislature, and local governments to address racial equity and justice in Kansas.

These recommendations can be found by visiting the governor’s website. Commission partners have also created a three-part series outlining many of the final recommendations, which can be found here.

The Kansas Health Foundation is committed to exploring partnerships with entities wanting to act on any of these CREJ recommendations. Watch the video below to learn more.
