Ashley Rickard joined the Kansas Health Foundation in 2020 and currently serves as business intelligence manager.

Rickard came to KHF with more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit management, spending those years focused on increasing positive outcomes for children and families in the Wichita community. In addition to running her own nonprofit consulting firm, Rickard held a variety of roles working to address crime, homelessness, mental illness, child abuse and Adverse Childhood Experiences. This included serving as executive director for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Sedgwick County and in program and outreach positions for Episcopal Social Services.

During her career, Rickard has also dedicated her time to many community groups in a volunteer capacity, including as a Girl Scout Leader, as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, at Fresh Air Baby Camp, Kansas Children’s Service League, American Red Cross, Sedgwick County Juvenile Accountability Panel and as a board member for HealthCore Clinic.

For her professional and volunteer work, Rickard has received numerous community awards, including the Regional Social Security Administration Public Service Excellence Award, Junior League of Wichita Shining Star Award, the Liberty Bell Award for public service excellence from the Young Lawyers Association of Wichita and the Wichita State Kids Gear Up Outstanding Service Award. She was also recognized by the Wichita Business Journal in 2014 as a 40 under 40 honoree.

Academically, Rickard earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and anthropology from Wichita State University, as well as a Master of Science in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati. She also holds a certificate in criminology from Wichita State and a certificate in conflict resolution from Johnson County Community College.

When Rickard is not at work taking orders from Secret, the Director of Hearing Assistance and Office Morale, she is spending her time in the great outdoors with Secret and her family.
