Lindsay Wilke joined the Kansas Health Foundation in August 2023 and serves as issue mobilization manager.

In this role, Wilke is responsible for mobilizing KHF partners to work in concert to make progress on key civic and health issues. She also connects and engages network partners around key health matters to align priorities and initiatives.

Prior to her time at KHF, Wilke served as the backbone coordinator for two collective impact efforts in Cowley County: the USD 470 Early Literacy Initiative and RISE Cowley, a Blue Cross Blue Shield Pathways to a Healthy Kansas coalition. Additionally, Wilke worked at Southwestern College (in Winfield, Kan.) teaching courses in nonprofit leadership and grant writing. During a period living in Tennessee, she also served as coordinator of the Nashville Mayor’s Youth Council.

Beyond work, Wilke is active and involved in her community. This includes serving on the board of directors for the Community Health Center in Cowley County, and for Legacy, a Regional Community Foundation. Through her involvement with Legacy, Wilke was instrumental in launching the concept of “data walks” throughout Kansas.

Wilke is a graduate of Southwestern College, earning a degree in biology, with minors in leadership studies and psychology. She also obtained a master’s degree in community development and action from Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

The daughter of two longtime public educators and the granddaughter of Kansas farmers, Wilke learned early on the value of education, community and sacrifice. Today, she utilizes those lessons to connect with individuals and organizations across rural and urban divides, and across many different sectors and industries.

In her spare time, Wilke enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her husband and three children.
