Communications Manager

This role is responsible for the creation and execution of multimedia strategies that drive and support the success of the organization’s strategic framework.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with the associate vice president to create and execute multimedia campaigns that drive and support the success of the organization’s strategic framework.
  • Manages content on the Foundation’s website using best practices in SEO and optimalization.
  • Works with the associate vice president to execute social media strategy and tactics across channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Develops and creates multimedia content related to the work of KHF and its partners.
  • Responds to communication needs of other team members across the organization. 

Qualifications

  • A combination of relevant work experience, training and educational coursework, or a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communication-related field.
  • At least two years of experience creating multimedia content (e.g., videography and editing, copy writing, social media creation or management, web development, photography or audio design).
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and willingness to accept responsibility.
  • Proven ability to work with a team in a highly-collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A professional and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
