Position Overview
The First Impressions Manager is the welcoming face and voice of the Kansas Health Foundation. This individual ensures that every in-person or phone interaction reflects our values of hospitality, professionalism, and community care. Ideal candidates are personable, dependable, and energized by working in a mission-driven, people-first environment. The right candidate will thrive in this role—not just perform it.
Key Responsibilities
Visitor Experience and Hospitality
- Warmly greet and assist all guests, partners, and vendors.
- Offer engaging, succinct overviews of KHF’s mission using digital displays or printed materials.
- Assist in setting up and organizing KHF-hosted events, ensuring a welcoming and well-coordinated experience.
- Ensure front office and public spaces are clean, branded, and welcoming.
Operations and Communication
- Manage incoming calls with accuracy and warmth, route inquiries appropriately.
- Respond to basic questions about KHF’s mission, initiatives, and public events.
- Maintain up-to-date contact records in the CRM (Salesforce, Attio or similar experience is a plus).
- Provide light administrative support to various departments, as needed.
Team Culture and Collaboration
- Contribute to a high-energy, respectful, and purpose-driven workplace.
- Actively participate in meetings, events, and cross-departmental activities.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Friendly and professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly reliable, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Prior experience in customer service or front-facing administrative roles preferred.
- Comfortable using multi-line phone systems, CRM platforms, and general office software.
- Deep appreciation for the mission and values of the Kansas Health Foundation.
