Ashley Booker joined the Kansas Health Foundation in 2017.
Booker serves as associate communication officer for KHF. As part of the communications team, she works on collecting data, writing and editing communications materials and assisting with special events that support the foundation’s mission of improving the health of all Kansans.
Before joining KHF, Booker spent two years as a general assignment and health reporter for the Hutchinson News. Her special passion for health-related issues solidified during an internship at the Kansas Health Institute News Service during the 2015 legislative session.
While attending the University of Kansas (KU), Booker worked as an associate news editor and correspondent for the university’s student newspaper, the University Daily Kansan. She is a graduate of KU’s William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications, earning her degree in 2015. Booker is currently working on her Master’s in Health Care Leadership at Friends University.
