Philip Hamilton

Philip Hamilton joined the Kansas Health Foundation in 2022 and currently serves as Controller.

In this role, Hamilton works on KHF’s finance team and has a broad range of duties, including accounts payable, preparation of financials, budget preparation, financial statement analysis, system conversion, reconciliations, payroll and regulatory reporting. He also assists with the organizational audit process, maintains and develops internal controls, and plays a key role in creating and managing financial policies and procedures.

Hamilton, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), has a background handling financial matters for companies in the retail, banking and industrial sectors. He was an accounts payable manager and senior accountant at Equity Bank, where he gained experience in mergers and acquisitions, as well as providing day-to-day analysis on numerous internal and external banking initiatives. He also has experience in operations and logistics from his time at local retailer All Things BBQ.

Academically, Hamilton first earned an associate’s degree from Butler Community College before transferring to Wichita State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration (with a minor in management) and later completed his master’s degree in accounting.

Outside of work, Hamilton is active in his church, enjoys tennis and other forms of physical activity, and spends as much time as he can with his wife Jaclyn and their son Braxton.
