Impact and Capacity Grants
The Impact and Capacity Grants Initiative replaces the Recognition Grant Program, to fund efforts that align with the KHF goal of reducing health disparities. The Impact and Capacity Grants Initiative is focused on two categories — impact grants (work in key health impact areas) or capacity-building grants (to build nonprofit capacity to address health disparities). This is an open application process, starting February 1, 2017, and is open through September 15, 2017, or until all 2017 funds are awarded. Grants are limited to a maximum of $25,000 and one grant award per year. To learn more, read on or view the Frequently Asked Questions.
When to apply: Proposals accepted between February 1, 2017, and September 15, 2017, or until all funds are awarded. (An organization may apply for only one of the two proposal categories)
Grant Amount: Up to $25,000
Timeline: Applicants notified within 45 days of proposal submission

*For both of the grant types listed above: 1) Proposals must be submitted using KHF’s online proposal system, and 2) Approved proposals must agree to receive funds via electronic funds transfer.
**Applicants are only required to fill out the “Overall Proposal Revenue Table” if other revenue sources are supporting the project.
