The population of Kansas is growing more slowly than the population of the U.S. as a whole, and it is aging, becoming increasingly diverse and concentrating in urban areas, according to a new study released by the Kansas Health Foundation.
This year, 19 Kansans are being honored as Civic Health Heroes, as part of ongoing efforts by KHF to recognize individuals who make a difference in the lives of those around them.
The Kansas Health Foundation (KHF) is pleased to announce 11 organizations will be receiving a total of $2.47 million as part of a multi-state partnership initiative, which will engage populations that are new to the political process by connecting the importance of voting and civic engagement with long-term health.
